Saving Client Information on the Policy Tab

Associate a Company/MGA with your client and tab out of the field. If you select an MGA, you will also be able to type in a 2nd policy #, Carrier #1 and Carrier #2.

 

NOTE: Once you have entered the carrier name in the field it will be saved in the dropdown list for future use.

 

 

 

 

 

Associate the selling Agent with the policy and tab out of the field.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Enter the pure Premium charged by the carrier and tab out of the field. Do not include any company fees or taxes.

 

Based on what was entered in the Manage Agents area when the Agents were setup, InsurancePro will ask after inserting your pure premium:  Would you like to update the Agent's Commission?

 

Yes will allow the system to automatically calculate the selling Agents commission.

No will stop the system from calculating the selling Agents commission and allow you to type any amount in the Agent's Comm box or leave it blank.

 

Enter any applicable Company Fee+Taxes.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Agency Fee Type- Click in the small box to the right and create as many Agency Fee types as needed. Once inside the box, click on <Add new Fee Type> and name the fee. Then click in the Value field next to that fee type and enter the fee amount. After the fee type has been created, you will be able to access this box to select from the dropdown a list of fees in every policy type.  The Agency Fee will transfer to the Receive a Payment screen when taking a Downpayment.

 

NOTE:  You can also access/create the information from the center Welcome Menu under Options - Choose Setup Agency Fee Types.

 

 

 

 

 

The Downpayment should exclude any Agency Fees.  Enter the Monthly Pay amount accordingly.

 

TIP: When amount is entered in these fields it will automatically pull into the Receive a Payment screen.

 

 

 

 

 

Commission - This is the calculated commission paid to the agency, based on the pure premium charged by the carrier.

 

Click on small box to the right.  If you set up different commission percentages, in the Insurance Companies screen under the Agency Settings area, for renewal/new business/additional lines of business, you can track the appropriate percentage.  Highlight and click Select to pull in another Commission Type for new or renewal business.

 

 

 

 

Agent Commission  - This is automatically figured based on the percentage or flat fee that was created in the Manage Agents under Agency Settings. 

 

NOTE:  Checking the Paid box will reflect whether or not you paid the agent in the Agent Report under Customized Reports area.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Policy Status - Allows you to track the policy throughout its progression from Prospect, Active, Expired, etc.

 

 

 

Payment Option and Monthly Payment due date will queue the Follow-Ups report to track the monthly payments. 

 

 

 

 

Full functionality of the Using Direct Debit area will be available in a future enhancement. 

 

Finance Company - Type in the premium finance company name and the system will store a list in the drop down for future use.  InsurancePro automatically assigns a File# based on the first initial of the last name and the number of policies in sequential order for that letter.

 

TIP: You may edit or change that number.

 

 

 

 

 

Coverage* - the program will allow you to choose from a brief list of policy descriptions.  You may type freely in the box and build a custom list.  You may also select any item in the list and hold down CTRL+ DEL on your keyboard to remove any item from the list.

Additional Info/Notes can be used for personal information.

 

NOTE:  The majority of your notes, whether system generated or manually entered, will be logged under the View/Add Notes area on the Policy Summary screen for this policy type.  This ensures a date/time stamp is applied to pertinent information attached to this client.
