  InsurancePro Online Storage Feature

 

 

InsurancePro also offers Online Database Storage. This optional feature allows Agencies to access customer's information through the Internet! You can now easily share information between multiple locations without expensive servers.

This feature provides many benefits to Insurance Agents, including the following:

  • Multi-location Agencies can use a combined database over the internet so offices can share customer information, policy details, payments, and other information between offices in real time.
     

  • InsurancePro can be configured to be accessed over the internet from any location. You will always have access to critical information.
     

  • No need to spend thousands of dollars to purchase and maintain expensive servers.
     

  • All your data will be backed up automatically on a daily basis

Setting up Online Storage:

InsurancePro with Online Storage can be installed by downloading the program from the Internet, or from a CD. For detailed instructions on how to Install InsurancePro, please click here. When you install InsurancePro with Online Storage, you will see the following screen after the setup is complete:

To setup Online Storage properly, you must know the IP address, User ID and password of the remote Server to connect through the Internet. You also need to have your FTP site's connection information. If you do not have this information, please contact InsurancePro's support at 1-800-383-3482 ext 4.

You can choose not to use the FTP site to store your files and scanned images. In that case, InsurancePro will save files and images on your local network. You would still have to fill in the FTP server information in this setup. It is not recommended to check this box.

Once you finish the entering the information, you can test it or click on "Update". You should also test your Internet Connection/Bandwidth speed when InsurancePro prompts you to after the setup is complete.

InsurancePro Online Storage's performance depends heavily on your Internet speed. If your internet connection/bandwidth speed is less than the recommended speed for Online Storage (384.0 Kbps), you will most likely experience problems. The most common speed related problems experienced are time out errors or your system or software application may appear to hang up. You can also run the Internet Speed test by clicking on:

Note: InsurancePro Online Storage needs to be installed on each computer, and the remote connection needs to be setup properly on each computer.

Both our Online Database server transactions and FTP server transactions are secure and encrypted. Our database servers use industry standard SSL Certficates with 256-bit encryption.
