 Convert Database from another Agency Management System

 

 


If you switch to InsurancePro from another Insurance Agency Management Software, in most cases, you will be able to convert all your existing client data from the current system in to InsurancePro. During data conversion, InsurancePro will attempt to import all your existing policies information, including:

  • Your Agency information

  • All Insurance Companies

  • All CSRs/Agents Information

  • All policy and customer information

  • Vehicles and Driver details

  • Notes

  • Payment history

  • Any Scanned images and

  • Endorsements.

InsurancePro has the built in option to easily and quickly import your data from the following systems:

  • ABS Agency Manager

  • Agency Advantage

  • ARS Manager

  • Doris

  • QuickFile

We are able to convert the database in most cases from many different systems also, and if you want your database converted, we can research it for you. However, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to convert databases in all cases. To initially convert data from any system other than the ones listed above, please contact your Sales Representative. 

 

To convert your database from the systems listed above, please use the following instructions:

 

Important Note: This is an initial step to populate your new InsurancePro Database with your existing client's information. This process will delete all entries, if any, in your current InsurancePro database. This will not effect your existing data in the other Management System in any way.

To import, click on "Options" from the Main Menu.

 

Then click on "Convert Data from other software".

 

 

Select your current system from the dropdown list, and click on "Convert".

 

 

InsurancePro will give you a warning message and get confirmation that you want to continue with this process. Once you choose to continue, InsurancePro will ask if you want to make a backup of your existing data, just incase you want it to be recovered.

 

Then you need to specify the location of your existing database program file. If you are using the current system on a network, please make sure you specify the path of the server computer so that the data can be read correctly.

 

That is all you have to do! InsurancePro will read in all the information and populate your database. Once the process of conversion is finished, InsurancePro needs to re-format the database. This requires restarting the program. InsurancePro will automatically shut down, and ask you to restart the program once it is ready.

 

Note: Please note that some of the information from different databases might not convert properly. We try our level best to ensure that the conversion process goes smoothly, but due to the nature of different databases, some of data might be missing or incorrect. Please allow an error margin of up to 5% of the data when converting from other systems.
