 Installing InsurancePro

From CD:

Insert the CD with the InsurancePro software in to your CD-R Drive. The installation setup program for InsurancePro should start automatically. If the program does not start automatically, then click on Windows “Start” button, and select “Run”. Then type “D:\setup.exe” in the space. Note that if your CD-R drive is not installed as “D”, your correct CD-R drive letter should replace it.

Once the Installation setup program starts, follow the on-screen instructions. Once the Installation setup program is complete, you can run InsurancePro from the Desktop

From the Internet:

To download the program from the Internet, go to InsurancePro's Website at www.insuranceproonline.com and click on the link to download. Choose the option to save the program to your hard disk. Once the program is downloaded, choose the open option or go to the folder to which the program was downloaded and then double click on “insprosetup.exe” to run the installation program.

Once the Installation setup program starts, follow the on-screen instructions. Once the Installation setup program is complete, you can run InsurancePro from Window’s Desktop.

Network Installation:

To fully utilize InsurancePro in your agency, you will most probably need to install it on a network. To install & use InsurancePro on a network, you need to specify one computer as the "server", and install InsurancePro on the server first. Some computer networks are already setup with a dedicated server. In this case, the installation is easier. However, there might not be a dedicated server at your location. In that case, choose any one computer in your network as the server for InsurancePro. A good choice would be choosing the the computer with the most storage space available, which is faster and most reliable.

After choosing a server computer, first install InsurancePro on the server. Then, you will have to create a mapped network drive to this server on EACH computer on the network choosing the SAME drive letter on each computer. The final step is to install InsurancePro on each computer on the network, but specifying the "Destination Directory" as the same directory on the server computer.
